Quaker Wood in Blewbury, Oxfordshire is a new community woodland planted in 2024. I designed this signboard with a map and visitor information to welcome people to the green space and honour the donations from local people which made it possible. Simple, silhouetted illustrations of people enjoying and looking after the space convey the welcoming, community spirit even without reading all of the text. The leaf illustrations give visitors a learning opportunity to connect with nature by spotting different types of tree.
