Wildlife Trust stickers
Promotion for a nature restoration project
‘Reconnecting Bernwood, Otmoor and the Ray (RBOR)’ is a large-scale project by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust to connect communities, nature, and heritage in the 300km landscape between Aylesbury, Bicester, and Oxford. In partnership with farmers and landowners, councils, community groups, the Environment Agency and Natural England, the project aims to inspire nature recovery and habitat reconnection across the country.
“A coherent ecological system will be restored, where curlew call and hedges are alive with all five hairstreak butterflies. Habitats will be richer in species, in better condition, more extensive and better linked. People will rediscover their relationship with this natural world, overcoming barriers to awareness, access and action. Everyone, whether rural or urban, will be able to benefit from the wellbeing, inspiration and livelihoods that nature provides.” - www.bbowt.org.uk
BBOWT commissioned these stickers to promote the project, highlighting the benefits to rare curlews and hairstreak butterflies, and the benefits of nature access and community activities for local people. I used bold colours and simple shapes to captures the themes at small scale on the stickers.
