Promotion for a nature restoration project

‘Reconnecting Bernwood, Otmoor and the Ray’ is a large-scale project by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with the Environment Agency and Natural England to connect communities, nature, and heritage.

“A coherent ecological system will be restored, where curlew call and hedges are alive with all five hairstreak butterflies... People will rediscover their relationship with this natural world, overcoming barriers to awareness, access and action. Everyone, whether rural or urban, will be able to benefit from the wellbeing, inspiration and livelihoods that nature provides.” - www.bbowt.org.uk

I was commissioned to draw these stickers highlighting rare curlews and hairstreak butterflies, and the benefits of nature access and community activities for local people. I used bold colours and simple shapes to create a friendly and welcoming feeling, and to make the themes very memorable at small scale on the stickers.
