A blustery view across the pond to the yellow castle in Stoke Park, Purdown, Bristol. Otherwise known as the Dower House built in 1553 by Sir Richard Berkeley (the M32 motorway came later). A great wall art print to remind Bristol luvvers of weekend strolls and dog walking, either in muddy boots or on summer days.
Inspired by the textures and bold shapes in retro travel posters, I drew this print in colourful overlapping layers in the style of screenprinting or risoprinting. Expressive shapes explore the movement of water on the pond and breeze in the reeds and trees, I love to explore this unique landscape in the middle of the city.
